Lantern light, festival music and a dance circle around a yagura tower will transform the heart of Roppongi into a lively Japanese summer scene. From August 21 to 23, Roppongi Hills Bon Dance 2026 brings together traditional performance, festival stalls and food from restaurants around Roppongi Hills.
The main bon dance takes place on August 22 and 23. Visitors can move around the tower to classics such as Tokyo Ondo and Hanabi Ondo, as well as the event’s original Roppongi Jin Ondo. At 7:00 p.m. on both evenings, Doraemon and friends will also appear for the Doraemon Ondo.
August 21 is the festival eve rather than a bon-dance night. It features fairground stalls and the energetic Roppongi Gaku performance, a contemporary Roppongi interpretation of traditional dengaku entertainment.
【Event Highlights】
・Dates: August 21–23, 2026. No bon dance is held on August 21.
・Bon dance: August 22 and 23, 5:00–8:00 p.m., at Roppongi Hills Arena.
・Festival stalls: August 21, 5:00–9:00 p.m.; August 22 and 23, 3:00–9:00 p.m.
・Location: Roppongi Hills Arena; selected programs and the food market also extend to Roppongi Keyakizaka Street on August 22 and 23.
・Admission: Free. Food and games are charged separately.
・From OTHER SPACE Asakusa: Walk to Asakusa Station, take the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line to Ginza, then change to the Hibiya Line for Roppongi. Follow signs for Exit 1C and Roppongi Hills.
・Traffic notice: Keyakizaka Street is scheduled to close to traffic from around 2:00–9:30 p.m. on August 22 and 23. The Roppongi Keyakizaka bus stop will be suspended.
・The event is scheduled to proceed in rain, but times and programs may change or be cancelled in severe weather.
