On December 21st, OTHER Space welcomed Muneyasu Kareyama for a special shakuhachi performance that filled our Asakusa space with calm, earthy tones 🎋. His music created a soft, immersive atmosphere—one of those moments where everyone naturally slowed down and simply enjoyed the flow of sound.
A big thank‑you to everyone who joined us and shared this unique cultural experience. Stay tuned… more creative moments are coming to OTHER Space.
What Is the Shakuhachi?

The shakuhachi is a traditional Japanese bamboo flute known for its soft, breath‑like tone and meditative sound. Once used by Zen monks for spiritual practice, it’s now loved for its expressive, atmospheric music that blends ancient tradition with modern creativity.
